Did you know ?

Wine has been used since ancient times for its digestive, fortifying and antiseptic properties. All doctors prescribe a wine-based treatment. Louis Pasteur said: “Wine is the most hygienic of drinks”.

In the 1990s, the medical journal The Lancet reported on research into phenolic acids that trap the “free radicals” responsible for bad cholesterol. Wine is said to have anti-oxidant properties … in moderation!

French people who eat rich food are protected by their consumption of wine. This is the French paradox.

Experiência sensorial Não visitamos o museu, preferimos a experiência sensorial e adoramos.

Mildly interesting Small old-fashioned museum with a gift shop. A useful explanation of the wine growing area and a sampling of two wines given by a member of staff at the end. Not worth the ten euros we paid, but it only costs five euros with a Bordeaux City Pass.

A nice introduction to wine in a well done interactive museum We are not wine connoisseurs but our party of 4 thought that the museum provided an innovative and interactive way to learn about wine and the history of wine in Bordeaux. The tasting bar is on the top floor and provides a lovely view of the city. We enjoyed our visit.

Lots of information about wine This was so informative. The museum is interesting. We learned so much from Deymi during the talk after. You taste different wines combined with some other things as well to enhance the tasting experience. Highly recommended! The shop has a well-curated selection of wines and they can tell you about them. An authentic experience.

Excelente museo!

Must go place in Bordeaux. It was amazing, the place is full of interesting information about the history of wine business in Bordeaux and about the history of wine itself . The tasting was very nice and the staff was very kind and friendly, for sure they made my experience so much better, the woman who led the tasting showed a lot of knowledge about the subject and brought several curiosities about the wine (10 out of 10). Also they have a good store with interesting items.
