Did you know ?

In 1787, Thomas Jefferson, future president of the United States, travelled through the vineyards of France. He took very precise notes and stayed in Bordeaux.

He drew up a classification that included four estates: Château Margaux, La Tour de Ségur, Haut Brion and Château Lafite.

These four châteaux are among the first great classified growths of 1855, quite a flair!

Unmissable Bordeaux place The Wine and Trade Museum is a real gem for wine lovers and history buffs in Bordeaux. This museum is full of valuable information on the history of Bordeaux and its wines, offering a captivating immersion in the region's wine heritage. The wealth of exhibitions and documents presented allows us to better understand the evolution of the wine trade over the centuries. What really sets this experience apart is the argumentative tasting offered at the end of the tour. It’s much more than just a tasting; it is a real sensory lesson which allows you to deepen your knowledge of the different grape varieties, terroirs and winemaking techniques. Each wine tasted is accompanied by detailed explanations which enrich the experience and shed new light on what we are tasting. In short, the Musée du Vin et du Négoce is a must-see for anyone wanting to explore the fascinating history of Bordeaux and its wines, while enjoying a memorable and informative tasting experience.

Intimate and exciting experience! Small, intimate visit to an old wine cellar with tasting of 2 wines, very affordable! Noah and Simon gave very interesting information in the tasting section and Lucas recommended an excellent bottle, according to my tastes! I recommend, 10/10 service from the boys!

Wine Museum, Bordeaux It is small but with history. The staff is very attentive and willing to communicate. The girl who did the tasting for us made an effort to be able to explain it in Spanish. We had a small incident at the tasting that they resolved with kindness. Recommended even with minors.

wine tasting There is a lot to see in the museum and the person helping us with the tasting was friendly! By going down to the basement and looking around, I was able to learn a lot about the history of Bordeaux wine. The cake eaten with wine was also delicious. If you come to Bordeaux, I think it's worth coming here as well as the wine museum!!
