Highly recommend! It was better than we anticipated. Excellent value for money. Lots of information and displays within the Museum. We spent quite a bit of time in the Museum reading and learning about Bordeaux and the wine industry. It was fantastic! Even although I don't drink alcohol. I was still included and provided with grape juice/non alcoholic tastings which were excellent. I was so impressed. Absolutely loved it. The staff are all lovely, knowledgeable and amazing!

I recommend it to learn what commercial houses were like in that century, to experience the wineries, the bottling and storage of wine, and how they kept their wine records.

More than a traditional museum, it is an experience that makes you feel what the wineries were like years ago. The pieces do not seem to be simply on display, but rather you feel that they have been there since then, and you go through the place learning about the tools and the way wine was bottled. If you like wine and learning about its origins in Bordeaux, I recommend it.

Out of the way but a really interesting and different museum. Tells the fascinating story of the whole area, which was the focal point for wines and other goods coming into Bordeaux. A couple of informative films, one in French and English, the other just French. Great personalised demo and teach-in at the end with a couple of glasses of local wine.

Delightful museum highlighting the Bordeaux region. Starting with the Celtic tribes, there is a through, but understandable, timeline covering people, places, techniques, and other aspects of the region’s development. Don’t miss this 1-1.5 hour self directed, audio supported tour.

It is a must-visit place for lovers of all kinds; of our city, of Bordeaux wine, of History, of the bonds between people and of time passing... Montaigne and Montesquieu would have loved to stroll in these cellars where magic mingles with daydreaming and forgetting the daily grind. So head over to Rue Borie, let yourself be carried through time and don't forget to bring back the precious bottles... they are the Aladdin's lamp of a world that only asks to stay alive... that of the human and their life story...

It was an interesting experience, and Emma, the girl from Tuscany who guided us through the tasting, was very nice and thorough in her explanations... The tasting was very pleasant, the pairing of raisins in chocolate with the wine was original... Highly recommended. PS: a special mention to all the girls at the museum (especially Emily if I remember the name correctly) because we had an accident in front of the museum and they helped and supported us first in calling for help on the phone and then upon the arrival of the firefighters.
